material

Evig by formorgen consists of mycelium, the root-like network of fungi. Combined with regional, renewable fiber plants such as hemp or agricultural residues, the mycelium grows into a unique form – Evig. Its natural composition gives our products not only a soft, organic feel, but also a quiet, tangible connection to nature.

Materials from nature

What's special about it: Mycelium is not a rigid material, but a living network. Under the right conditions, it permeates the fibers, permanently bonding them together and growing into a stable, lightweight, yet resilient structure. This process requires no chemicals, no glue, no artificial additives – nature alone does the work.

Hemp brings its own strengths to the table: a robust, regionally available natural fiber that has been cultivated in the north for centuries. As an agricultural byproduct, we use it as it is generated – sensibly, resource-efficiently, and without any additional burden on the soil or climate.

This results in a material that is distinguished not only by its ecological footprint but also by its unique characteristics: warm to the touch, with a distinctive structure, and inherently perishable. The material lasts as long as it is needed – and then returns to its place of origin.

Evig embodies this idea: a product from the cycle of nature,

Made for the final step in the cycle of life.

hemp

one of the oldest cultivated plants of mankind

Hemp is one of humankind's oldest cultivated plants and has been used in a variety of ways for centuries – from textiles and paper to building materials. However, in the 20th century, it almost completely disappeared from everyday life: economic interests and political campaigns led to hemp being categorically equated with narcotics and banned as part of global drug prohibition – even though the plant itself has no intoxicating effect. Today, hemp is experiencing a well-deserved comeback, as hardly any other raw material is as versatile, robust, and ecologically valuable.

For our mycelium urn, we exclusively use residual materials from hemp processing – a conscious step to conserve resources and close the loop. Hemp grows quickly and binds large amounts of CO₂ – a raw material that can shape the future, and especially the funeral industry, in a climate-positive and holistic way.

vision

sustainability

Our vision is to offer a form of burial with our urn that is so natural it gives loved ones a sense of security and allows them to consciously shape the farewell. We want to destigmatize death and, with our bright and modern design, open a dialogue that allows us to talk about death in everyday life and accept it as a part of life.

Our experience has shown that our urns initiate conversations that extend beyond the funeral home, reaching even those at celebrations, events, and fairs that are not primarily focused on death. Our clients are relieved to be able to engage with death outside the context of grief and to experience a touch of lightness.

We stand for this with our language, our designs, and our vision.

Our vision holds sway.
